December Hike

Meet at Kamakura station to catch the 10 AM bus to Kamakura-gu.

Come hike the famous Kamakura Ten-En trail and walk where the Samurai walked! We will be starting from Zuisen-ji and pass several jizo, a bamboo grove, and many interesting historical sites en route to Kencho-ji and Kita-Kamakura station. This is a point-to-point hike that will take about two hours to complete. Bring your IC card, water, snacks, and yen (there is a cute snack shack just before the halfway point). The trail is mostly dirt but there is one small rock climb to the highest point in Kamakura (if you did the Jimmuji hike, this is nothing!) and the brush is still a bit overgrown, so definitely wear long sleeves/pants. Bigger kid friendly; carriers suggested for smaller kids.
