The mission of the Officers' Spouses' Association of Yokosuka (OSAY) is to foster morale, friendship, and community engagement through social, cultural, and spouse enrichment activities.
OSAY is a non-profit, social organization open to SOFA-sponsored spouses of active and retired U.S. military officers and DOD civilians (GS-7 and above) residing in the greater Yokosuka area.
Welcome to OSAY and thanks for visiting our page! Whether this is your first time stationed in Japan or you're a seasoned overseas spouse, we all have one common goal - to find our tribe and make living in a foreign country feel like home.
That being said, when the pandemic hit, it was impossible for us to come together and events were at a minimum. A lot of us struggled with being lonely and just plain boredom. But now, we are seeing a light at the end of the tunnel as rules are slowly being lifted, and we are allowed to gather in unlimited numbers on base. That is why I chose the theme for OSAY this year to be “Rising Strong”.
As we slowly emerge from life with COVID, I want us to rise strong and come together to be a strong community of spouses who support each other and work together to make life in Yokosuka feel as much as home as we can make it. Now let’s go have some fun and explore Japan!
